Mix the Syrup

Mix together the maple, brown sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla bean paste in a heat-safe cup with a fork until smooth and free of lumps. Add in milk and stir.

We just want to remove any lumps so that we don't have an unpleasantly textured latte, and all of the flavors are homogenous.

Steam or Froth the Milk

Either heat up the milk mixture in the microwave or a saucepan and then froth with a handheld milk frother, or use a milk steamer to heat and froth the milk simultaneously, keeping the nozzle close to the surface to allow for the incorporation of air. The milk should be slightly hotter than your drinking preference.

Don't have a milk steamer, no problem! You can do this with a handheld milk frother, or if you're in a pinch, you can just heat up the milk and then shake it like crazy in an airtight container.

Finish the Latte

Pour the milk into a mug with the shot of espresso, sprinkle with cinnamon, and drizzle with maple syrup.

Don't worry if you aren't a latte art expert, this will taste delicious just the same! Garnish it with a little maple syrup and cinnamon, and you'll impress all your guests.
